Synchro PRO, originally developed by Synchro Ltd, was acquired by Bentley System Corporation in 2018. The purpose of Synchro is to prepare construction project schedules (4D) based on geometric design data and information from other applications. Synchro PRO also allows for project control, price analysis, budget tracking (5D).
Until recently, it seemed to everyone that a 3D model was the answer to all questions and a solution to all problems, but in the process of implementing the project, numerous collisions still arise, the plan does not coincide with the fact, and untimely and inaccurate reports. As a result, you have to spend time, money and materials on correcting what can be prevented even at the design stage.
The solution to this problem is the Synchro PRO software product from Bentley Systems, which allows you to integrate a ready-made 3D model of an object into your environment and supplement it with a visual calendar-network schedule. Thanks to the resulting 4D model, tracking the fulfillment of the fact plan becomes an extremely simple task. The visual model displays the planned and earned volumes of work, the dates of deliveries of materials and equipment, the location of units of equipment and crews at specific construction sites at a specific period of time. All this allows you to quickly identify space-time collisions and take corrective measures, effectively managing the construction process.
